Social Worker (Childrens)

Seven Social Care is looking for a Social Worker (Childrens) at Staffordshire County Council

The role:

Social Workers who join this team we can pay up to the Senior Practitioner MOU cap of £33.30 p/hr LTD rate.

All agency workers will receive the same supervision with their TM and any training as with our permanent staff.

We also work smart her at SCC and so we do a mixture of on site / field working / remote/ home working – in order to balance the needs of the organisation and to achieve work life balance.

We are looking to bring in a Discharge Planning Team here at Staffordshire made up of a Team Manager, 6 Social Workers and 2 Family Practitioner.

The team will be working at pace to prevent drift for those children who have been identified as having a care plan to exit care via a Special Guardianship Order, Child Arrangement order, Placement with Parents, Discharge of Care Order or reunification. This will be a centrally run team so work will be taken from all eight districts.

The TM and SWs will need to be experienced in care proceedings and show insight into the impact of care on children’s outcomes. 

Work on specific pieces of work to prepare for children moving on from court, including preparing court paperwork and assessments.

SWs specifically will work with district colleagues to prioritise activity that is required and perform all key SW tasks identified in normal job description that relate to these specific pieces of work.
