Social Worker- Children’s Team (Family Safeguarding)

  • Salary: £42 - £42 per hour
  • Type: Temporary / Full Time

Seven Social Care are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our Children’s Team (Family Safeguarding) in Ely, UK. This individual will play an essential role in safeguarding children and supporting families in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of family situations to identify needs, risks, and appropriate interventions.

  

2. Develop and implement individual care plans aimed at achieving the best possible outcome for the child and family.

3. Provide therapeutic interventions and deliver services as appropriate for the social and emotional needs of children and families.

 

4. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams such as healthcare professionals, educational staff, and other social workers to provide integrated service.

5. Attend and contribute to regular multi-agency meetings to review and monitor the progress of care plans.

6. Keep detailed records and produce reports for legal proceedings, case reviews, and other professionals involved in the case.

7. Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children at all times, intervening promptly where there are safeguarding concerns.

8. Provide support, guidance, and advice to families dealing with complex social and environmental issues.

Key Requirements:

1. Must hold a relevant Social Work degree and have a registration with the UK Social Work regulatory body.

2. Demonstrated experience in Child Protection and Family Support work.

3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and other professionals.

4. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures surrounding child protection.

5. Strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing.

6. Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work under pressure.

7. Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities, to improve and broaden skill sets.
