Social Worker Court Team

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a progressive, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual to join our Court Team as a Social Worker in Exeter. This role carries a significant responsibility for providing an efficient, dedicated service to vulnerable children and families within the Exeter area, while working closely with the UK court system.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a liaison between clients and various branches of the legal system.

2. Deliver comprehensive reports and present evidence to support our families’ needs in Care Proceedings.

3. Implement, evaluate, and manage care plans based on the specific needs of the client in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

4. Ensure that case management complies with all social legislation and professional standards.

5. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to the court.

6. Regularly review legal processes to ensure they are in the best interests of service users.

7. Attend court hearings and contribute to the ongoing development of court proceedings.

8. Provide counselling and support for service users.

9. Debug any issues embedded within diverse family dynamics by developing and maintaining a constructive working alliance with families.

Requirements:

1. Qualified and registered with Social Work England.

2. Previous experience working within the UK court systems, preferably with children and family services.

3. Strong knowledge of the court processes and legislations regarding child and family care, including experience in Care Proceedings.

4. Excellent report writing skills and the ability to present information to a range of individuals and groups.

5. A passion for advocating for the welfare of children and their families.

6. Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with challenging situations and individuals.

7. Excellent organizational skills to manage case loads and meet strict deadlines.
