Social Worker – CWD

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker for the Children’s Workforce Development (CWD) division in Luton. The successful candidate will be instrumental in offering full support to children and families in need, dealing with series of cases including mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, or parental neglect.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct counseling and support to children and their families, addressing a range of serious social issues.

2. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the level of intervention required for each case.

3. Develop and implement personalized care plans that ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child.

4. Cooperate with various agencies, schools, and other professionals to facilitate access to educational, healthcare, and other necessary services.

5. Maintain complete and timely records and report on clients’ status and progress.

6. Provide crisis intervention as necessary, and advocate for clients’ rights.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification is required.

2. Current registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) in the UK.

3. Knowledge of the UK’s Children Act and other related legislation.

4. Previous experience working in child protection or child services is desirable.

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with children and families in distress.

6. The ability to deal with complex situations and to make sound judgments under pressure.

7. It is desirable to have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

The successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory references and Enhanced DBS checks.

Please note that this role requires you to travel around the local area and occasionally requires evening and weekend work.
