Social Worker – Hospital

Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Social Worker for a position within East Surrey Hospital. This role is paying £35 – £38 per hour depending on experience, and the council  can offer £35 + £150 weekly expenses for any candidate living outside of West Sussex.

The role:

The aim is making a positive difference to the people of West Sussex. The requirement of the hospital Social Work Team is to respond within timescales to assess people both in the hospital and those that have recently been discharged from hospital. We assist them with arranging any care and support they may need in the longer term to maximise their independence. The work is varied fast paced and there are opportunities to gain experience in working with a variety of professionals both in the Hospitals and Community Resources including the Voluntary sector. The Team are supportive and we are committed to offering opportunities for workers to develop themselves as Practitioners.

This role is hospital based, 5 days a week but with some flexibility for hybrid working. There is also flexibility with working hours which could be 8am – 4pm, or 9am – 5pm, depending on preference.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

Social Work Degree and SWE Registration

Experience: 2+ years working with as an Adult QSW, in the UK, along with successful completion of ASYE if qualified post 2008.

Compliance: RTW in the UK with no restrictions

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
