Social Worker – Mental Health

Seven Social Care have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Mental Health team in Havering, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing excellent clinical mental health services within the community.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of the mental health needs of assigned service users.

2. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with service users, taking into account their needs and preferences.

3. Provide crisis intervention as needed and collaborate with other professionals to ensure service user’s well-being.

4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interactions, interventions, and observations.

5. Advocate on behalf of clients, helping them to access necessary resources and services within the community.

6. Provide guidance and psychoeducation to family members or caregivers on mental health issues and coping mechanisms.

7. Provide ongoing assessment and modifications to treatment plans as necessary.

8. Maintain confidentiality and adheres to ethics and professional standards.

Requirements:

1. A valid UK Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent).

2. Must be registered with Social Work England.

3. Substantial post-qualifying experience in Mental Health social work.

4. Strong understanding of mental health legislations and resources available to patients.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

6. The ability to manage a large caseload effectively and independently.

7. Up to date DBS check.

8. Must have flexibility to respond to service needs.
