Social Worker/Senior Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker/Senior Social Worker to join our vibrant and dedicated team based in Durham. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field of social work, with a focus on developing comprehensive care plans and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest quality of service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ social, emotional, physical, and financial condition to determine their level of need.

2. Developing and executing intervention plans based on clients’ needs, strengths, and abilities.

3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, educators, and legal officers to provide coordinated care.

4. Advocating for clients’ needs and rights across different settings, including health and residential care.

5. Providing supportive counselling and psychotherapy to clients experiencing emotional distress and crisis.

6. Assisting clients in navigating diverse social services systems and securing necessary resources.

7. Maintaining detailed records, preparing reports, and updating databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date client information.

8. Staying current on relevant laws, regulations, and social services resources.

9. Assisting in the training and supervision of junior social workers, if applicable.

Qualifications:

1. A Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent field.

2. Registration as a qualified social worker with Social Work England.

3. Proven experience as a social worker, with senior-level experience preferred.

4. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures relevant to the social work field.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

6. Strong commitment to assisting individuals and families in need.

7. Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, under potentially stressful circumstances.

8. Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.

9. Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and database management.
