Specialist Housing Support Worker

Seven Resourcing are looking for two temporary a Specialist Housing Support Workers in Wolverhampton. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £11 PAYE or £13.30 Umbrella per hour day rate and £13.12 PAYE or £16.01 Umbrella per hour night rate. The hours are working on a rota basis covering 9am – 9pm on evenings and weekends 35 hours per week.

The role:
The Wolverhampton Young People Service delivers an effective support service, to young people aged 16 – 25, through the provision of a range of suitable accommodation and Support service. The Service is required to deliver a holistic and collaborative approach to meet the identified needs of service users to prevent homelessness, establish and maintain independence to support young people to move onto independent living. We have three young people’s accommodations Services in Wolverhampton which all staff are required to work across. All three services are with in close distance of each other. Recruiting permanently candidates will be considered for permanent posts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people.
  • Experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with a range of challenging/Complex behaviours as well as vulnerabilities.
  • Experience of carrying out support Plans/Risk assessment and structured interventions with young people.
  • Able to build professional working relationships, to enhance the well being and quality of support for young people. Requirements

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience:  1+ year experience with housing and homelessness
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
