Street Lighting Technician

Seven Resourcing is working with Omni Resourcing to recruit a Street Lighting Technician for their Engineering services in Stevenage.

You will report to the Principal Engineer.

Permanent Job paying up to £40,000 per annum.

Job Purpose:

To review structural and electrical test results and create work packs to repair or replace electrical street furniture. Create work packs for the follow-on work after RTC’s and vandal damage to electrical street furniture. Assist the Principal Engineer in the delivery of the design and technical service as requested.

Duties:

 

 

 

 

 

      Liaise with clients and colleagues in relation to their requirements and HCC specifications for work

Produce comprehensive packs for construction purposes, complying with all CDM requirements.

Raise orders for work using the Client’s Confirm database

 

 

 

 

 

    Undertaking all health and safety activities as required under H&S and CDM regulations in accordance with Ringway policy and procedures.

 

 

 

 

 

      Undertaking site investigation, surveys and other studies

Monitor progress of work on site

Monitor cost against value of work

 

 

 

 

 

    Assist with the generation of contract documentation, drawings and technical reports.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

ONC electrical and Electronic Engineering

or

 

 

 

 

City and Guilds 2382-18 with Street Lighting experience

Experience:

 

 

 

 

Experience with Confirm database, Lighting Reality and Cable calculation software is desirable.

 

 

 

 

Previous experience of the street lighting industry from a consultancy or contracting perspective will be an advantag

Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
