Street Scene & Waste Operative

Seven Social Care is looking for a street Scene & Waste Operative to fill an exclusive opportunity in Plymouth.

 We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £14.68 per hour.

 The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 37 hours a week (various shifts available from Monday to Sunday).

The role:

To keep the city and local environment clean, tidy, and adequately maintained with minimum disruption to residents and the public in compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Removal of waste or recycling from residential and business properties and public land/highway in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and Codes of Practice. Carry out grounds maintenance and cleansing as directed in a safe working manner within Codes of practice.

Responsible for cleaning locations where spillages and split bags have taken place and responsible for safe removal of hazardous substances. Ensure areas are left clean and tidy after collections /operations, including replacement of bins.

Report unsafe working practices to line manager.
