Support Worker

Seven Social Care are looking for Support Worker’s to fill a number of available roles in the Sunderland area. The work schedule is flexible. Support workers typically work from 7am – 3.30pm / 1.30pm – 10pm on a set rota with an alternative weekend worked. Pay rates are from £13.30 to £14.64 per hour.

The role:

      Assisting children and adults with day-to-day tasks ranging from supporting with their meals, general mobility and practical tasks and community involvement. 

Supporting people with a positive caring outlook and enjoying the challenge of helping regain their independence.

Accompany the more elderly people out in the community (doctor’s appointments, therapy plans).

Seek to understand their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual person.

Working with other professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and outside agencies to ensure consistency of support.

Follow safeguarding procedures.

Develop positive relationships with colleagues and other key stakeholders.

Attend and participate in team, departmental and other relevant internal meetings, such as training, supervision, and appraisal to support the provision of high standard of care to our people.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:

       Is not essential but desirable, training and mentoring will be provided. 

Compliance: RTW in the UK with no restrictions. 2 satisfactory references are required.

Travel: Roles available for drivers and non-drivers. 

Additional Requirements: Enhanced Adults DBS is required to be in place.

Due to the nature of the roles, full time students will not be eligible.
