Support Worker

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking Support Workers to work within the Adult’s services for Nottinghamshire Council. This is a full time position of 30 hours a week, and we are paying £14.80 per hour for this role. 

 

The role:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers for Adults. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance, guidance, and support to adults in various settings. This rewarding position involves promoting independence, fostering community engagement, and ensuring the well-being of the individuals you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist adults with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and enhance overall well-being.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
  • Facilitate community participation and social engagement for adults with a focus on inclusivity and dignity.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources, recreational activities, and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Document and report on client progress, concerns, and any changes in their conditions.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Provide a reassuring presence and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in challenging situations.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Need Moving and Handling Training. 

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
