Support Worker

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Support Worker to work with Croydon council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £16.25 per hour for this role.

The role:

To ensure best practice and the maintenance of professional standards in supporting people with disabilities. To deliver focused support within an outcome’s quality assurance framework and culture. This will include:

Delivery of measurable improvements in the well-being and independence of residents.

Contribution to the development and delivery of effective risk assessments.

Assured contact with and support given to, parents, carers, and other key people in the person’s support network.

Organisation and facilitation of the resident’s person-centred support and activities in line with the values of the Council.

Safeguard and promotion of the welfare of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct support with residents to engage in agreed 1:1 and group opportunities in a variety of community settings.

Key working duties

 Create and implement risk assessments.

Utilise effective communication tools and methods.

Value residents’ dignity and show respect for their rights and needs.

Engage with the resident’s local community to develop asset-based support plans developing and promoting independence and well-being.

Develop and participate in person-centred reviews.

Actively engage in the development of community led support.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: 

      GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.

Experience:  2+ years working within a similar role. 

Compliance:  Current enhanced DBS check. 

Hours:  36 hours p/w.
