Job Type: Full-Time

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Development of intervention strategies to support children and young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

2. Liaising and work in partnership with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child’s welfare.

3. Deliver training, workshops, and support sessions for parents, staff, and students addressing a range of social issues.

4. Identifying and promoting activities to improve attendance and engagement in school.

5. Conducting risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the safeguarding of children.

6. Working closely with the team to develop a coordinated and integrated approach to support each student’s health and wellbeing.

7. Keeping up with the latest developments and legislation within the Social Work sector.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

2. Registration with Social Work England or any other recognised professional body.

3. Minimum of two years of experience working with children and families.

4. Track record of working in an educational setting would be an advantage.

5. In-depth understanding and knowledge of child development, child protection laws and safeguarding protocols.

6. Ability to manage crisis situations.

7. Excellent communication, mediation, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

8. Knowledge of social care procedures and legislation in the UK.

Important Note: This role would require you to have a current Enhanced DBS Check or you must be willing to apply for one.
