Team Leader Young Person’s Housing Support

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Team Leader to work within Calderdale Council. This is a full time position of 37 hours, and we are paying £23.57  per hour for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

 

      Lead, supervise and motivate the staff working with young people staying in or referred to the service. Undertake training, appraisals, absence monitoring and recording and other  human resource functions as agreed with Team Manager. Supervise students and others on work placements.

 Organise duty rotas to ensure that the service has adequate staff cover at all times.

Deputise for the Temporary Accommodation Service Team Leader when required.

Ensure that high quality needs assessments are undertaken, support plans developed and housing pathways identified for service clients. Ensure that partner agencies and services are contacted and engage in the process where appropriate.

Ensure that potentially homeless 16 & 17 year olds and 18-20 year old care leavers referred into the service receive a same day response and that action taken is appropriate and proportionate. Ensure that formal homelessness investigations are initiated and completed where appropriate.

Ensure that a diverse programme of activities is offered to young people staying in Calderdale Foyer and if appropriate CMBC temporary accommodation

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
