Technical Support Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for 2 temporary Technical Support Officers to work in Sunderland. These positions are initially for a period of 6 months and are paying £10.59 – £12.96 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The role:

Support the Team Leaders and their appointed deputies in contract administration, co-ordinating and actioning of servicing and maintenance contracts and updating appropriate ICT systems.

To effect sound customer care, liaise direct with the client department, technical staff, suppliers, sub-contractors and customers.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules, regulations and legislation both on an individual and collective basis.

Other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as may be assigned from time to time by the Team Leaders or appointed deputy.

Key Responsibilities:

      Providing verbal information to managers and customers.

Provide a range of written correspondence (e-mail, letters, etc) and produce reports as directed by the Team Leader.

To customers, suppliers, managers, supervisors and members of the general public on contract and servicing related requests.

To support customers, staff and suppliers, deal with difficult situations and seek amicable resolutions to problems.

To ensure positive relationships with customers being at the centre of the service, ensuring that work is completed consistently to a high quality and within expected timescales and achieving excellent levels of customer satisfaction maintaining Sunderland City Council image and values at all times.

By liaising with customers to assess their requirements and future needs in order to ensure the continued delivery of high quality services.

To ensure customers are informed in a timely manner of any changes and that these changes are documented.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: N/A.
  • Experience: Full training will be given however it is expected that experience of working within a Building Repairs and Maintenance environment will be an advantage.
  • Compliance: References covering the last 2 years and proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
