Temporary Accommodation Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for an Accommodation Officer in Enfield. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £17.54 per hour (PAYE ) or £21.54 per hour (umbrella). The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm. Hybrid working.

The role:

Housing Gateway Ltd and Enfield Let Ltd are seeking two motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Temporary Accommodation Tenancy Sign-Up Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and proactive sign-up service for tenants, ensuring compliance with national and corporate policies, procedures, and statutory legislation. You will play a crucial role in understanding and meeting the needs of our customers while maintaining a positive and professional image

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by effectively engaging with tenants, including vulnerable or challenging individuals.

Work collaboratively as part of a team to contact tenants via phone or email to facilitate the sign-up process for new online licence agreements.

Offer welfare advice and support tenants in applying for the housing costs element of Universal Credit, if required.

Utilize our digital sign-up system, Nitro, to assist tenants in completing their Enfield Let tenancy or licence agreements.

Ensure timely email notifications are sent to revenue and other internal departments to facilitate the processing of benefits.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Excel and Word, to effectively manage tenant information and documentation.

Possess a good understanding of both Universal Credit and housing benefit systems.

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with tenants and internal stakeholders.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:    2+ years working within supporting or advising vulnerable customers

Compliance:  Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references. 

Travel:  Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours:  37 hours p/w.
