Seven Social Care is looking for a Transformation Project Manager at Cambridge City Council

The role:

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the team to cover four projects: Target Operating Model, Community Wealth Building, Social Impact Investment, and Political Governance. 

I’m expecting this person to be able to join, absorb significant amounts of information and be able to take over these projects with minimal supervision to deliver. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.    To lead and manage the development and delivery of designated workstreams and project deliverables

2.    To work in partnership with Heads of Service, Managers, technical experts, and key stakeholders to form and sustain an effective and collaborative working relationship 

3.    To lead a virtual team in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project.  

4.    Working with the Programme Manager, Programme Office Manager and Business Analysts, ensure individual projects are coordinated with the strategic objectives of the Our Cambridge programme and achieve the programme outcomes.

5.    To be responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner.  Maintaining project documents and associated plans with regular reporting and team meetings to monitor progress and resources.

6.    To ensure the expected benefits (cashable and non-cashable) are realised and sustainable for the future and work with project sponsors and senior stakeholders to agree robust benefits realisation plans.

7.    To pro-actively manage stakeholders, responding to and resolving conflict between different stakeholders when this arises through facilitation or other appropriate mechanisms.

8.    Ensure stakeholder, partnership, and community involvement through the project/change management cycle, building a productive working relationship with stakeholders and including formal consultation processes as required.

9.    To actively promote prevention and self-management within the programme plans.

10.    To use evidence-based approaches, outcomes and seek out best practice from across the sector to apply in a Cambridge context

11.    To apply a wide range of service redesign and change management methodologies to meet the requirements of CCC
