Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Waste Management Operative  to work within Leicestershire.

Initial 3 month contract as you’re covering a vacancy.

£12.00 per hour 

Hybrid working.

Temp – perm opportunities are possible but not 100% guaranteed. You would need to re-apply however if you’re already in the service then you have a better chance of being successful.

 

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Waste Management Operative to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Waste Management Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper handling, disposal, and recycling of waste materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting waste from designated areas and loading it onto waste collection vehicles
  • Operating waste collection vehicles and transporting waste to designated disposal sites
  • Sorting and separating different types of waste materials for recycling purposes
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during waste handling and disposal
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Performing routine maintenance and checks on waste management equipment
  • Reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient waste management operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in waste management or a similar field is desirable but not essential
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual labor
  • Knowledge of waste segregation and recycling practices
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to waste management
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
  • A valid driver’s license may be required, depending on the specific job duties
