Seven Resourcing are looking for a YOS Officer to work within Birmingham. This is a full time role (36.5 hours per week) paying £24.37 p/h (Umbrella). 

Scope and Purpose of Role

Birmingham Youth Offending Service consists of eight teams (four area based, one court based, one intensive supervision and surveillance, one girls only and one harmful sexual behaviour team) which are made up from staff seconded from Birmingham City Council, West Midlands Police, Birmingham Health Authority and the Voluntary Sector.

General Duties and Responsibilities

 

To contribute and participate in the work of the Youth Offending Service.

To plan and implement diversion from court programmes where appropriate, including work emanating from referral orders, referral order panels and community based actions.

To effectively manage and monitor young people going through the court process and referral order panels.

Compile and present Pre-Sentence Reports and other reports in accordance with National Standards including reports for referral order panels.

Effective liaison with other workers and agencies as required.

To work in co-operation with other agencies and partners and key stakeholders in the local community.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.

Experience: 1+ years working in childcare settings.

Compliance: Up to date DBS.
