Seven Resourcing form charity partnership with Ormiston Families

Seven Resourcing is super excited to announce it has formed a charity partnership with leading East Anglia-based charity, Ormiston Families.

Ormiston Families has been working across the East of England for over 40 years to take early and preventative action to support families in being safe, healthy, and resilient. The charity’s services help people to build stronger networks, learn from experience and feel in control of their own wellbeing.

Some of these services include:

  • YouCanBe and Mpower: supporting women with their self-esteem.
  • Breaking Barriers: supporting children and young people who have a close relative in prison.
  • Small Steps Together: helping parents with their perinatal mental health.
  • YOUnited: emotional wellbeing and mental health support for children and young people.
  • Stars: specialist bereavement support and counselling service for 4–19-year-olds.

At Seven, we’ve been supporting East Anglian social care, healthcare, and criminal justice services since 2011, placing thousands of talented professionals across the region. Because of our experience in these industries, the partnership with Ormiston Families is a perfect match and we can’t wait to help this incredible organisation make a real change in our community.

Over the next 12 months, we’re aiming to raise £10,000 for Ormiston Families. We have a calendar packed full of awesome events and exciting fundraisers, including a skydive, Yorkshire ‘3 Peaks’ challenge and The Whole Hog mud run to name a few.

We are also excited to be joining Ormiston Families’ Brighter Business Network, volunteering our time to engage with schools supported by the charity, including mentorship for students.

We understand how difficult it can be for health & social care services to recruit new staff in a candidate-short market, especially in rural areas like East Anglia. To prevent Ormiston Families from suffering the same issue, we will offer free recruitment throughout our partnership, utilising our network of health professionals across the region to support the charity’s vital services.

Ormiston Charities Director, Kate Higgs said “Ormiston Families is delighted to be forming a new partnership with Seven Resourcing. With their understanding of the services provided and the people we support, this is a great opportunity to achieve lots together and open more doors to help create brighter futures for children and families across the East of England”

Director of Seven Resourcing, Richard Cooke, said “It’s an honour to be in partnership with a wonderful local charity like Ormiston Families. At Seven Resourcing, we’ve been recruiting health and social care professionals across East Anglia for over a decade, so we really do understand how important their services are. As soon as we saw what Ormiston Families do to support our community, we were inspired. With a calendar packed full of exciting fundraisers, we just can’t wait to get started.”

On Friday 4th February, we welcomed the lovely Ormiston Families team for the official partnership launch event, held at our head office on Adastral Park, Ipswich. Ormiston Families ran several workshops throughout the day, perfectly introducing our team to the charity. Our ‘Pound a Pop’ competition also caused a big bang in the office, raising £600!

We’re so excited to support this fantastic charity, and if you want to be a part of raising £10,000 for Ormiston Families in 2022, click here to donate on our Just Giving page.
